ThROWBACK THROWDOWN

An original series produced at Whistle Sports setting two influencers out into the many shops of NYC to find the holy grail of throwbacks. Part challenge, part hidden gem show, Spice & Brittany have to spend their money wisely to win the audience over.

Worked with Director & Sr. Producer to develop show into a repeatable game show format while scripting ideas to fit the episodes and build to a strong conclusion. Scheduling shoots around certain local events helped elevate challenges and give them a unique lens.

After being on set for the first episode, our crew was able to execute the Director’s vision perfectly and create the light hearted challenge show about nice culture that they hoped for.

As well as helping guide set a bit on the first shoot, to set the tone for the show, I took on the pilot edit, creating its more rough atmosphere to show NYC’s wear on these long standing stores & markets. NYC’s colorful communities help keep these novelty shops alive so that theme was woven throughout each piece as well, interacting with storekeepers and clientele.

Our uptempo style matched our host’s energy and quick dialogue making each episode a breeze to watch.
